Award-winning American Band Ozomatli in Poland July 4-11

Where: Herbert Hoover Square in Warsaw (Krakowsie Przedmiescie).


The United States Embassy in Warsaw is excited to announce that in July of this year three-time Grammy-award-winning band Ozomatli will be traveling to Poland for the first time as Cultural Ambassadors of the U.S. State Department.  The Los Angeles-based band, whose music is a blend of music styles from all over the world, will play three free public concerts in Poland.  The first performance will take place at Żeromskiego street, in front of the City Hall in Radom at 19:00 on Wednesday, July 6, 2011.  Ozomatli will play a second concert at Herbert Hoover Square in Warsaw at 20:00 on Thursday, July 7, 2011.  The final concert in Poland will take place in Sopot at 23:30 on Saturday, July 10 as part of the “Window onto the World” festival organized by the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre.  The band will also engage some of Poland’s disadvantaged youth in a number of outreach events around the country.  After their Polish tour Ozomatli will travel to Lithuania where they will play two free concerts.

WARSAW CRITICAL MASS

Warsaw Critical Mass is a parade of human-povered vehicles, every last friday of the month, all year round, 18:00 at Plac Zamkowy in Warsaw. It's uncommercial event, organised by volounteers wanting Warsaw to be cycling-friendly, with support from participants of the events.
